The Aitken family works busily on a map of India.

Kate, 9, from North Carolina, says:

I think what you are doing is great and I would love to help. I enjoyed the movie items in the baggie. It really helped me to get a feel for what I am doing. I will pray and earn money knowing it is for a great cause.

The Aitken family, in the United Kingdom, wrote to tell us:

Hi, I just wanted to share a photo of what my kids are doing right now. They are fully engaged in making the map of India as suggested in week 2 activities.

My 5 year old is enjoying finding whatever loose change he can and putting it in his rice bag. We are all enjoying it a lot. Even though some of the statistics are quite lengthy for my aged children, doing something like making the map brings it all alive for them.

God's blessing to you all and thank you for this project.

Gloria in Washington sent an email sharing the impact of the Rice Bag Project on her daughter:

Without being asked, my 9 yr. old daughter faithfully prays for the safety of the Christians in Orissa at dinnertime now. After studying about India and saving for the illiterate women and children, she truly has developed a heart for the people. I would not be surprised if she took a trip there in her teens.
