'Jesus is my all in all'

Chitra discovers her Heavenly Father in Children's Bible Club

March 11, 2008

Ten-year-old Chitra lives with her grandparents.

Her father died when she was a baby. Her mother works as a servant to help support the family.

Her father's absence left Chitra sad and lonely. She often spent time alone instead of playing with children her own age.

Then a Mission India Children's Bible Club started in her village and the club leader knew Chitra’s family.

Worried about the girl’s isolation from other children, the teacher went to Chitra’s mother and suggested sending her to the club.

Chitra blossomed under the caring attention she experienced at the club. She loved the worship songs and stories about Jesus. Chitra even began improving in her school work.

Most importantly, Chitra developed a relationship with her Heavenly Father, and no longer felt isolated because she didn't have a earthly father in her life.

Today, Chitra’s family describes her as a cheerful girl. She says that “Jesus is my all in all” and she is thankful that her mother is attending church with her.

Chitra is praying that her mother and grandparents will also accept Jesus as their Savior.
