Welcome to Week 6 of the Rice Bag Project!
Just a few weeks left in your Rice Bag Project! It's time to start thinking about counting up your coins and seeing how many lives you will change in India with the gift of literacy!
Remember, your gift will be doubled through the Sonlight Rice Bag Project $100,000 matching fund. That means for every $30 raised by Sonlighters, TWO women in India will learn how to read and write!
If we reach our goal, nearly 7,000 women and their families will be transformed! And it will have all started with just a few loose coins...

Can you write your name? Some people might think it is such a simple thing to do. But we know that learning to write our names is just the beginning of an exciting adventure!
My literacy class has changed my life, in so many amazing ways. Writing my name was just the beginning. Now I can write long letters to my husband, Karsenbai, to tell him everything that is happening in our family while he is away...

Families are celebrating Diwali, or the Festival of Lights, this week in India. In this week's activities, try some Diwali arts and crafts, read the story of a young carpet-weaver whose life was changed by a literacy class, and learn about ways you can pray for Christians in India who are suffering persecution.
