Week 5
Welcome to Week 5 of the Rice Bag Project! Have you emailed your photos yet? Send us your family or group snapshots from the Rice Bag Project at sonlight@missionindia.org. Show us your unique approach to saving coins, how full your Rice Bags are getting, and what the hands-on activities look like at your house! Kids, keep sharing your thoughts and stories! Eleven-year-old Robynne emailed us to say, "Being able to collect money for those in need is cool and I'm so happy when I find out that another person has been saved."Robynne, we're so thankful God has given you a heart for reaching others - you're making a big difference in India! You can read more stories from Sonlighters, and be sure to email us your stories and photos at sonlight@missionindia.org. (By sharing your stories and photos you give Mission India permission to publish this information on our website and/or in other print materials.) |

I can read! I am so excited to tell you about what has been happening since I started my literacy class a few months ago. Remember how I told you about how nervous and excited I was before my first class? I didn't know what to expect. I even thought maybe it was some kind of trick - a way to make me feel bad about not being able to read. But now I know Sangita was telling the truth - she really did want to give me a gift! I thought the gift would just be about writing my name or reading a letter from my husband, Karsenbai. But it is so much more than that... |
