No Longer Broken

Anoop's prayers to Jesus healed his leg - and opened his heart to the Savior

Anoop saw his prayers to the gods go unanswered - then a Church Planter introduced him to Jesus.

Anoop broke his leg.

He couldn't go back to work - and Anoop, his wife, and their two children were starving.

Then, a local witch doctor said, "If you pay for an offering to the gods, I promise you will be healed."

Anoop mortgaged his tiny piece of land to pay the witch doctor for the sacrificial offering.

But his leg didn't get better. When he couldn't make payments on his debt, a money lender seized his land.

Now, Anoop waited for a knock on the door from the debt collector, telling him to get off the land.

Knock, knock. Someone was at the door - it was Satish, a Mission India Church Planter.

Noticing the look on Anoop's face, Satish asked, "Is something troubling you?" The Church Planter was moved as Anoop told his sad story.

Satish told Anoop about Jesus.

Anoop was amazed! He had never heard of a God who doesn't demand gifts or costly sacrifices, but instead gave His life to save people.

"Please heal my leg," Anoop prayed to Jesus. And God did!

Anoop received Christ Jesus as his Savior. He started working for daily wages at a nearby farm.

One day, the money lender he owed showed up. "You can keep your land," he said to Anoop.

With the land back in his possession, Anoop was able to grow crops in his own field. He began paying back what he owed the money lender.

Villagers are amazed to see Anoop doing well, and they want to know more about the God who changed Anoop's life.

Anoop has already led three whole families in his village to Christ!
