Vice President of Development
Mission India, an international faith-based nonprofit organization, has an opening for Vice President of Development, based in our Grand Rapids, Michigan office.
Mission India carries out the Great Commission by helping India’s Christians to plant reproducing churches in India. Mission India also serves the poorest of the poor in India, the neediest country on earth, providing proven benefits in literacy, health, family values, income, and community development. Mission India raises funds from individual major donors, foundation grants, trusts, partnerships, and churches. Our ministry results, huge unmet opportunities, and continued growth have created the need for an experienced Vice President of Development.
This position serves on the executive leadership team and will be responsible to develop and implement donor development and marketing strategies that are comprehensive and contemporary with today’s donors and communication trends.
Responsibilities
The Vice President of Development will answer to the President and lead the team that is responsible for all communication strategies and development activities in the USA. The Vice President of Development will be responsible for Mission India’s donated income objectives, and to achieve those objectives by leading and implementing a relationship development strategy with major donors, and a marketing strategy to ensure clear and strategic communication of Mission India’s accomplishments and needs.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President of Development will also play a key role in helping to determine corporate strategies and coordinate all of Mission India’s activities toward achieving our strategic goals.
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- A passion for the Great Commission.
- Significant experience in managing relationships with Major Donors, as well as Marketing Strategy in a non-profit environment.
- Must have demonstrated success in building and leading a team in a related or similar area.
- Good written/oral communication skills.
- A passion for achieving measurable objectives.
- A passion to build organizational capacities.
- A passion to provide opportunities for Christian stewardship.
- Bachelors Degree required.
Candidates must be Christian, have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and agree to Mission India’s Statement of Faith.
